Jean-Claude Van Damme expresses sympathy over Sly Stallone son death

Jean-Claude Van Damme has expressed his sympathy to Sylvester Stallone on his son Sage's death.

Sage was found dead in his Hollywood apartment in mid-July, but his exact cause of death remains a myste

Sylvester's Expendables 2 co-star Van Damme sent well-wishes to the actor during their new film's recent press junket.

"[I send] all my love to [Sly's] family… it's very personal. He's a great guy," Van Damme told Access Hollywood.

Dolph Lundgren - who has appeared in Sylvester's Rocky IV and The Expendables - also offered condolences for Sage's passing.
"I haven't spoken to him [since Sage passed], but it must be really rough. That's the worst thing that can happen to somebody - to lose your kid," Lundgren said.

Arnold Schwarzenegger previously sent "prayers" to Sylvester in the days after Sage's death in July.

"I want him to know that my family and I, and his fans all over the world, support him during this difficult time," Schwarzenegger said.

Sylvester's only public comment thus far was a call for privacy.

Sage was 36 years old at the time of his death.
