Victoria Beckham's lip ring voted biggest fashion disaster of the century, ahead of Lady Gaga's meat dress and Angelina Jolie's split skirt

She might now be the toast of the fashion world thanks to her elegant designs but it seems the public haven't forgotten the style faux pas of Victoria Beckham.
A lip ring she sported during a pop performance in 2001 has been voted the biggest celebrity fashion disaster of this century.
And her husband David doesn't fare much better in the style stakes either. The cornrow hairstyle he wore in 2003 was second in the poll.

One female respondent commented: 'I honestly don't know what David was thinking with that hair style. I bet he cringes every time he sees that picture.'

Lady Gaga's controversial meat dress at the 2010 VMA's was next on the list of major fashion fails, according to the survey by Central Contracts which asked 1000 people to name the worst celebrity style catastrophes since 2000.

A male vegetarian revealed what he thought of Lady Gaga's outfit: 'Lady Gaga’s meat dress was totally disrespectful. I know she is a controversial figure and wanted to get people talking but that was so many steps over the line. It makes me so angry every time I see a picture of her wearing that dress.'

TV star Kim Kardashian's immodest dress sense also offended 14 per cent - but they couldn't single out any particular outfit, instead citing 'everything' she wore as a fashion disaster.
Rapper Nicki Minaj, who is famous for her bold and outlandish colour, was also criticized for her overall wardrobe choices. 
One female respondent admitted why she voted for Minaj: 'I know we are all allowed to make one or two fashion errors but Nicki Minaj does it over and over again. Seriously what is she thinking wearing those crazy dresses?'
Also in the top ten was singer and X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos for a garish pink dress she wore last year while in seventh place was Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie, for the split dress she wore to the Oscars which was widely mocked thanks to the pose she adopted on the red carpet.
Men who made it into the top ten behind David Beckham were Simon Cowell for his high waisted trousers and low cut t-shirts and singer Kanye West thanks to the red leather outfit which he wore to perform in 2010.
